Accreditation, Rankings and Membership
With over 20 years of experience, all of IU’s degree programmes are accredited by the German Accreditation Council and the German Council of Science and Humanities. They are also enlisted in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) and their programmes bear the FIBAA Seal of Excellence in Digital Education.
This means that their courses, faculty and teaching materials meet the rigorous standards set according to European academic guidelines and they can independently accredit new programmes.
Internationally, IU has received numerous awards as well as rankings, and have set up partnerships across the globe:
- Achieved a 5-star rating for Online Learning, with their Online MBAs ranking 26th on the most recent QS Quacquarelli Symonds rankings.
- In the CHE University Ranking (2020-2022), IU achieved top ranks in six out of 25 categories – the most categories won out of over 300 institutions assessed.
- Recognised by WES Canada and U.S., which means their degrees can be converted into local equivalents in the Canadian Immigration Point System and American Immigration Assessment Scheme.
